Inspired by the Victorian Pleasure Gardens of the 18th/19th century. From Boating Lakes to Band Stands, it was a time of fanciful wonder and a place to let go a little from the social restraint of the times. However
this letting go also lead to the demise of the gardens themselves and only write ups and drawings remain today.
